The Orthodox Church faith doctrines are intrinsically linked to the worship of the faithful and the departed standing together in both worlds !!! The first Sunday is devoted to the memories of the departed Priests and the following Sunday 'ALL SOULS' are remembered. We're the ONLY church following the biblical teaching to the Word of our fathers from father to son, for generations to generations, from Abraham to Issac and Jacob. Every Sunday there is special memorial prayer is done with incense for the living faithful to know when their time comes they will also be remembered by their nearest and dearest. There is a wrong conception that praying for the dead is to relieve from their sins and take them to heaven !!! All human being have the intellect to understand we are responsible for our own actions and there is no one else answerable in front of us on the day of judgement.
Every day say Our Fathers (Pithakenmar), Teachers (Gurukanmar), Mother (Deivamathave) and Saints (Parisudhanmar) please pray for us and come to our aid and help us.
