The meaning of CROSS... On the day The Indian Orthodox Church remembers the 40-Martyers and prays for their mediation, we must emphasis the same history is repeated in present day. The world has NOT changed in the attitude but cultures and civilizations has moved on..!!! Technology has NOT changed the presumption of people's mind, if anything the advancement of Information Technology caused to spread the violent news more quickly. The question of Identity and Freedom is the two basic reasons for people to fight, and this is very prevalent in developing countries... So the struggle will continue for some time until the 'scores' are settled and economies disparity is fairly matched !!! Peoples movement is controlled in every part of the world as the lifestyles are settled more or less equal every where... THIS WILLTAKE SOME TIME... To respect each others cultural values and understand "Globalization" does not work in economic terms...... ???
Honesty, Integrity, Justice are the pillars family is built... and the nations should pride themselves !!!
Recently, I was told that I've "tortured" someone... don't know which incarnation I performed this... Is this the person's memory relates me to the awesome period in their own life : Jesus said "Take up your CROSS and Follow me..." Body, Mind, and Spirit... ( Lent - 2015 )
'The Law and Sin'- Body, Mind and Spirit... Exposition Romans 7: 14 - 25
The Inner Person will come out of the mouth !!! The sin a person commit is NOT himself, but of flesh... The Spirit tells one thing and the body does something else, then the mind follows to justify the actions ?
Everyone want to obey the Law and do what is good, but end up doing evil which lies close at hand... This is the temptation and discernment of the SPIRIT identifies the person who we really are... For eg. Stand in front of a child and smile, if the child responds to the spirit... then surely one is genuine ! More often we see the child cries... OR... not sure of the interaction and move away; we must learn to adapt the way the child feel secure in our presence. This is the same principle Holy Spirit behaves too ! One may pretend very holy and approachable, yet the SPIRIT which comes out of the mouth may not impress all.
ORTHODOX CHURCH teaches several means and ways to control the BODY during lent season - The MIND will acquire power to withstand the temptations and the SPIRIT reaches the ultimate goal which is Salvation of humankind... May Lord show us the Way, the Truth, and the Life...
