Sharing of Family Home -

FAMILY  HERITAGE :- Malankara Orthodox Christian Family Inheritance Law

My Gd Father allowed to build a house in his land, so that our parents can bring their children in the late nineteenfiftys. As time went by, due to fate, I came to England in 1978; Since then I lived here and brought up a family here and permanent resident in the U.K. Meanwhile, the elder brother accumulated wealth in the middle east and started showing interest in acquiring the family home and put pressure to elderly parents to write a Will in his favour. My father, in his own wisdom, already have written the Will, bequeathing the family home in my name !! Since the house is given to me, brother started manuring and manipulating father and myself to transfer and write a "New Will" in his name... For that, as settlement of the share of my interest, our father accepted that brother will make a cash payment which was acceptable to both of us.

Our father passed away in 1984, since then brother started issueing ultimatums to our mother and myself regarding the ownership of our family home.

As fate have it, he has also ended in a foreign country (U.S.A.) and at present no body is living at the family home since our mothers death in 2013.

We have a sister living permanently resident in Germany, also have an interest according to the Christian Family Inheritance Law, of Kerala.

The proposed suggestion is for keeping the Malankara Nazrani Christian tradition and the good-will of all the children can be served well by a 'Time Share' concept.
